Detailed description of Mays Landing Golf Club
Mays Landing Golf Club, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Mays Landing, New Jersey.
Mays Landing Golf & Country Club is located on 175 acres in the pristine Pinelands of Atlantic County. The course was designed by the late Jack Newgent and Leo Fraser, past president of the PGA and a leader in the history of the game, Mays Landing represents Leo's belief in introducing the game to more players.
In keeping with that theme, full practice facilities are present at Mays Landing with a driving range, chipping and putting greens and PGA professionals are on hand for individual lessons.
Mays Landing Golf Course has numerous pine, fir and oak trees lining its fairways. There are ponds that come into play on five holes. The undulating greens are sloped and the wind can be a factor. However, the tree-lined fairways and wide landing areas along with 4 sets of tee boxes show that the course was designed for both the advanced and novice golfer.
Par for the course is 72 for men and 73 for ladies. The course plays to 6,623 yqrds from the Blue tees, 6,251 from the white tees, 5,448 from the gold tees and 5,545 yards from the red tee boxes.

Played this Course for the 1st time this year... some problem areas in the Fairways, due to the Bad Winter we've experienced... but its coming around.. hopefully the Course will keep the Discount in effect, until the Course mends... Still plays well!!

I like this Course... been open for many years... nice value for the money... Staff and Mgmt. are great & accomidating to the single player... BEWARE of the nasty homeowner on #18... stray off the fairway and step into their yard and "the colorful yelling & screaming begins"...

Tree-lined, narrow fairways are rather uncommon for an area with many links style courses. Still retains some of the shore are aspects with several large waste areas. Holds its own as far as quality and value for an area with many good daily fee courses (at least five I can think of within a 10 mile radius). I look forward to playing this course again in the spring.
